Dark Rum’s include: Don Q Añejo, Flor de Caña, Bacardi 8, Cruzan Aged and Gosling’s Black Seal.

ABV 20: Rum Swizzles and Dark Rum

We’re making the rum swizzle, give times, with five brands of dark rum including: Don Q Añejo, Flor de Caña, Bacardi 8, Cruzan Aged and Gosling’s Black Seal. The Rum Swizzle recipe includes:

  • 2 oz Dark Rum
  • 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Triple Sec
  • 5-6 oz. Ginger Ale
  • Lemon Wheel to Garnish

Mix all dark rum, lemon juice and triple sec together in an iced shaker for 10 seconds and strain into an iced Collins Glass and garnish with Lemon Wheel; serve. Watch the video at Common Man Cocktails.

    Goslings uses molasses in their rum that's why it is dark. I'm surprised you didn't pick it up, that is the first thing I notice in both the taste and smell. One of my favorite rums!

    hey smarty pants if you put the rind of the lemon inside the drink it will change the flavor dramatically
