ABV 64: Amaretto Tasting/Review

We’re tasting up some amaretto, we’ve got Basilica, Disaronno and Amaretto Di Amore to taste today. This should be interesting, will they taste alike or completely different?

I've always opted for just the cheapest available because of not being sure if I would get my money's worth out of Disaronno or Di Amore. So glad I've never bought it! I can't stand cherry flavor and would of been mad if I paid $30+ for a whole bottle of it.

I love to drink straight amaretto =) In the last year I've been making my own loosely based on a recipe I seen online – it's not half bad! (just watch the amounts of sugars)

I find the format of your blind tasting very hard to follow. Since the tasting comments are detached from the naming of which liqueur is which, it’s hard to try to remember the comments as the liqueurs are revealed.  Instead of taking numerical notes, I would also jot down tasting notes to review when you do the reveal.
